Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) Approval: The Institute’s Animal house facility was approved by Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) in the year 2002.
Drug Testing Laboratory: The drug Controller of Tamil Nadu had accorded drug license to this institute for testing Ayurveda and Siddha Drugs in the year 2009. This facility is used by many manufacturers and researchers at large.
National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL): The institute has been accredited with ISO/IEC: 17025 (General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories) for Chemical (Chemistry Department) and Biological Scope (Botany/Pharmacognosy and Biochemistry) since 2008. Microbiology and Pharmacology are included under Biological scope in 2023. The scope extended to analyse all API parameters.
Ph.D. research centre under the University of Madras: Academically, it is a recognized Ph.D. research centre under the University of Madras, having awarded over 40 doctoral degrees since 1979. Currently, 10 students are pursuing Ph.D under various disciplines in this institute.
